Halloween Movie Guide
We all know that Halloween movies are probably the best part of Halloween. You've got your old standbys like Hocus Pocus, It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and Nightmare Before Christmas. But we've done the research and found you almost every Halloween movie being shown in the next week and where and when to find it. (All movie times are CST!)
Friday, October 25th - We recommend sitting down at 7 pm and tuning into the Disney Channel for Toy Story of Terror. The toys head out on road trip, but the trip takes a detour to a roadside motel. One toy goes missing and the others get caught in a mysterious sequence of events.
Saturday, October 26th - ABC Family has an AWESOME line-up. At 12:30 pm watch Goonies followed by Beetlejuice at 3 pm. An Addams Family double-feature starts at 5 pm with The Addams Family followed by Addams Family Values. Don't get up from the couch just yet because at 9 pm Hocus Pocus is on!
Sunday, October 27th - We're not as excited about Sunday's Halloween movie offerings, but ABC Family is showing Monster House at noon, and Nickelodeon is showing The Boy Who Cried Werewolf at 12:30 pm. Or on Sunday, take some time to carve a pumpkin, visit a corn maze or bake some Halloween treats. Check out our previous Foley's Halloween How-To: What to Do.
Monday, October 28th - Don't miss a Tim Burton double-feature starting at 6:30 pm with Tim Burton's Corpse Bride followed by Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas at 8:25 pm.
Tuesday, October 29th - If vampires are your thing, then tune into the Disney Channel at 7:30 pm for My Babysitter's a Vampire. According to TVGuide.com: "Ethan Mason is a 13-year-old whose curiosity often leads him to trouble, so when his parents go away, they hire a beautiful sophomore to be his babysitter, Little do they know, she's a vampire."
Wednesday, October 30th - On Wednesday, check out the Disney Channel again for two Disney Channel Original Movies: Girl Vs. Monster (7:30 pm) and The Scream Team (11 pm).
Thursday, October 31st - Whatever you're doing this Halloween, and if you're only going to watch one Halloween movie, we recommend It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown on ABC at 7 pm. Originally aired in 1966 and based on the comic strip Peanuts by Charles Schulz, this is a nostalgic Halloween must-watch.
What to DVR - If you're a big fan of the classic Disney Channel Original Movies DVR the following: the 1999 classic, Don't Look Under the Bed (Saturday, October 27 at 1:30 am), 1997's Under Wraps (Sunday, October 28 at 1:30 am), and from 2000, Phantom of the Megaplex (Monday, October 29 at 1:30 am).
What to Check out on Netflix - If you've got Netflix then check out these family-friendly Halloween titles: ParaNorman, DreamWorks Spooky Stories, DreamWorks Spooky Stories: Volume 2 or all five seasons of the mid-90s favorite Goosebumps.
What will you be watching this Halloween?
